Great food only for humans ?
No but food is fantastic.
No not required
Yes, full bar
Not sure if it's considered historic however it's been there many years. We don't go for history, we go because the food is fantastic!
As others have stated. This is not a buffet. It is a sit down establishment with table service serving well prepared and local seafood items.
Yes I just called but it will be Monday Nov 13
No but their rock shrimp is the best ever!!!!
Yes
Hi,, Mike! The dining room is open at 50% capacity and 6ft of social distancing. We are currently open from 11am until 8pm.
I hadn't visited this restaurant, known as a famous tourist spot here in Titusville in over 25 years. I'd heard that the service and quality of food had dropped along with a great increase in price. I was pleasantly surprised that the quality of food and the service were excellent although it is still a little bit pricey. Still this is the best place to get shrimp in central Florida.
Their menu has a variety of items which are reasonably priced. The wait staff we interacted with were all friendly and attentive. The rock shrimp were good but small (may be off season) and the complementary fritters were delicious. Parking can be challenging (it was a weekend).
My wife and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. We split one of their large plates with lobster, scallops, rock shrimp, and snow crab. The price was beyond reasonable and it was more than enough for both of us.The food tasted great, everything but the lobster was 100% spot on (slightly overcooked or something) and the overall experience was excellent.I would, and have already been recommending this place to anyone. Thanks for a great memory!
This restaurant is well known in Central Florida. The food is delicious and you can either dine in or get take out. They used to have a lovely koi pond, but it hasn't been kept up the last 2 times we visited.
First time visit and the food was wonderful. Judging by the crowds other folks love it, too. I had made reservations for 6 PM on Thursday. When we arrived, the hostess said they were running behind, and it would be a 20 minute wait. It turned into 40 minute wait, which was rough with a 21 month old child running around. The corn fritters were delicious once we were seated. The rock shrimp and fish tacos were good, too. Just be aware that you may have to wait even with reservations.
Excellent food and service! I asked about substituting rice for grits. Our waiter asked the manager, who honored my request, and then stopped by our table to see if everything was good. Great customer service! We will definitely be back when we are in the area!
After fifteen years, I came back to my hometown and Dixie stands the test of time. Every bite is delicious to the last. Thank you for taking my taste buds down memory lane. This will always be my favourite establishment!!
Always love going to Dixie Crossroads. The food is consistently great, the service friendly and the price is very reasonable. We drive over from Orlando about twice a year
It was very good! Shrimp, and scallops! Now, haven't went to a seafood restaurant in a while. But being right at the shore, seems really pricey!! The wait staff was polite, on time. Hardly any wait for seating and food. But a bit plastic! Liven up people!!
Food and service was excellent! And no wait at 2:30. The broiled rock shrimp were great! As was the slaw, cheese grits, grilled mahi and sugar dusted corn fritter things. Might hit the place again on the way back to GA. 👠ðŸ‘
Looking for Seafood in this area. This is one of the best places in the area in which to eat. A good selection to choose from the menu. The steaks are outstanding too. Have both you will love dinner. Can't say enough good things. Clean, great service and outstanding food!
This restaurant was recommended by a local we asked. Service was great and the atmosphere relaxed. The oysters were amazing and the shrimp were good, but very small as an “upgrade.†The price, however, was about 30% higher than comparable good seafood restaurants I’ve enjoyed. Too bad. Otherwise, this would have been an unqualified great review.
Dixie Crossroads has been a family favorite for many decades now. Their rock shrimp never disappoint. The prime rib is excellent, warmed to your specification. The royal reds are delicious and the lobster is juicy and tender! The baked potatoes, and soups and chowder are always great, and the fritters are popular with the whole family. The best part is the kids actually enjoy the burgers, tenders, and fries. The ONLY complaint is the lack of attention to the vegetables.
Been going here for a long time and the food is consistently good. Used to be more reasonably priced. Still doing a landslide business so I guess they can charge higher price!
Good food. Good service, and reasonable prices. Our first visit here was almost 30 years ago, when my father-in-law brought us to a place he was proud to have found. Not much has changed, maybe more paved parking and more artwork. But the fish still welcome you as you walk over the bridge.
Old school Florida seafood restaurant popular with tourists and older people. Inexpensive and if you enjoy fried foods this place is for you. Some grilled options also. Kids can feed fish in the outdoor pond. Plenty of parking for RVs and trailers.
This was definitely delicious. If you are looking for great seafood at reasonable prices come here. The service was excellent. I had calamari, rock shrimp, crab legs, and lobster. Everything was really good.
First off I'll start by saying the customer service was exceptional and the free bottomless corn fritters were delicious. We came to this establishment with the expectation of 4.5 stars on almost 5000 reviews (quite impressive). Unless something dramatically changed this 4.5 star rating is very deceiving. The food was not fresh —by my guess it's frozen. If you are looking for quality food I would not recommend this place. Ignore the high rating.
Glad Dixie Crossroads is open again w hours 12 to 8pm. Still not ready to eat inside anywhere yet but glad to get takeout. Picked up the Soup n salad combo for lunch today. House salad w Cajun Shrimp soup was excellent as a ways. Love many items on the menu and highly recommend any 1st time visitors try broiled rock shrimp. We have been going for rock shrimp since the 80's.
I love Dixie Crossroads. I haven't been there in probably 20 years and it was just as good as I remember. The rock shrimp are amazing and you can't find them anywhere else. They butterfly them so they're like little lobster tails. The corn fritters are another specialty that are complementary and delicious. Our waitress, Katrina was over the top!
First time visitor. We came up Friday Night for the Rocket Launch. Rose was our waitress and she did a great job. The food took a little long to come out but the corn fritters were a nice touch. The Rock Shrimp was very good. First time having it, hopefully not my last. I liked the Gator Bites but the batter kept me from loving them. I'd also come back for the Fish Taco but next time I won't have it fried because of the batter. Again Rose our waitress was great.
It was packed with locals, so I guess they love it. We all ate chicken except one, but her crab cake was under cooked. Even chicken smelled and tasted of fish. It is a seafood place....!
It's a must stop place if you're in the area. I'm not even a big shrimp fan but am never disappointed here. Great food, great service, it's a staple that's worth waiting for
Dixie Crossroads is my favorite restaurant in all of Florida. I live in South Florida, so it’s a bit of a trek. But if any relatives come to town and they’re willing to drive it, I’ll take them. I’ve introduced around 20 friends/relatives to Dixie Crossroads. The thing to get here is Rock Shrimp. They are worth a four hour drive, for sure!
Loved this place. Food was excellent and service was great. Large portions and great presentation. Specialty is rock shrimp which tastes like lobster Their complimentary corn fritters are served to every table and go great with our appetizers. Enjoy!
One of my favorite places since I was a child. The rock shrimp still my go to dish and of course the corn fritters are drool worthy. They are so good I consider them a cheat day off keto and so worth it!
This is an excellent seafood restaurant. If you're interested in some really good, fresh seafood then Dixie Crossroads is what you want. There was a slight wait, but not too long, maybe 10 minutes. The wait was well worth it as everything that we ordered was excellent and up there with some of the best tasting seafood restaurants I've ever been to. You won't be disappointed with anything that you order, at least we weren't. Everything was cooked to perfection and our lobsters were very yummy. I'll be going back everytime we visit the area!
We attended a meeting here and chose the grilled mahi and the strip steak. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked. Our waiter and waitress provided exceptional service. We will definitely be back to try the other dishes this place is famous for!
First visited Dixie Crossroads 36 years ago when rock shrimp was a fairly new restaurant item, and the space shuttle was still launching off the Cape. Progress and refinement hasn't hurt the food or service one bit. Great people and great food. Rock shrimp are still a treat. Kids and parents both love the corn fritters. Seafood selection includes everything, but the local fish are the best. It's a long trip from New England, but we've done it many times and it's always worth the journey.
Incredible! This place is heaven on Earth. Where have you been all my life? They are known for their rock shrimp but you can't go wrong with any seafood item on the menu. Service is friendly, knowledgeable and super casual. Food is outstanding. Will definitely be back every time I'm in this part of the state. This is now in my Top 3 seafood joints in all of Florida. And that is saying a lot! 5 stars all the way!! ðŸ‘
Awesome seafood. Never had a bad dish here. Endless Corn fritters. Service is great. Highly recommended! â¤ï¸â¤ï¸
All you can eat rock shrimp for $20 holiday special. And OMG.. I'm stuffed and couldn't even finish my first plate!Rock shrimp was awesome as always. Service was excellent. Good thing I only eat like that 2 or 3 times a year. 😋
Often very sarcastic. Very often they slow down just enough to sling items on the table and, by no means is the service stellar nor even good ......they don't count on a bread and butter clientele: they make their money on folks fascinated by eating rock shrimp. Yes, there is a bread and butter clientele however, it has shrunk greatly over the past ten years. I know because many of us talk when we are standing outside. We love standing outside socializing and not rushing in to eat and be rushed out but, its the same story from everyone " remember when this place was really good and fun..........? Its about slinging hash now"We all are happy they have more room and tables are plentiful but, its a "tourist trap" not an enjoyable place.
The food was delicious. We got good service. Our server, Heather, was awesome. She was super friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, fast, & patient with our group. Look for her when you visit. Here's her pic.
We stopped there yesterday as we have in the past. They have good food at reasonable prices. Last night was a disappointment. We order two shrimp platters, one clam chowder and two soft drinks. The waitress delivered the two drinks. In ~10 minutes, I received the clam chowder. After finishing it, the waitress returned and told us that the platters would be ready shortly. After 30 minutes, she and the meals were nowhere to be found. I left $10 and we left dissatisfied.
One of the best shrimp restaurants in the Space Coast! The rock shrimp were just like tender mini lobsters. The hush puppies are also addictive. It can be quite busy but totally worth it.
I've never waited a hour for a restaurant. Drinks always full, Generous with libations and Legendary seafood. Took a below average day and made it memorable. Nicole (server) was swamped with the Saturday crowd and made it appear as if we were the only ones here. First visit for us, but definitely not the last.
Amazing service. As soon as we arrived with kids they had what I would describe as hush puppies right on the table. Super friendly staff and had the meals out right away. Very large portions at a very reasonable cost. Great atmosphere.
Authentic local seafood at great prices. Staff is great. Place is clean. Has cool art and a fish pond you can feed. Overall a great experience.
The menu has a nice variety. We ordered 4 different dishes and all were very good at an appropriate price. We were seated quickly despite it being a Saturday evening. The atmosphere was nice with acoustics that allowed for conversation without having to shout. The wait staff was efficient, but not very personable nor attentive.
For people who love seafood this is great. I came to have steak for dinner with my family for my fiance's birthday. Our waitress was very rude, although we didn't get her name. I will be back but hopefully the wait staff can be nicer.
Been coming here for over 30 years. Rock shrimp still the best. I stop here whenever I’m in the area or on I95. Great place for lunch or dinner before or after a visit to Playalinda beach. Their complementary hush puppies are legendary in my family.
Food was ok. No prime rib. This is the 3rd time. I come all the way frim Texas to eat your prime rib. All the rest is good. But the prime rib YUMMY. But not this time again. Sad was looking forward to good eats
Terrific place for seafood. Everything was fresh and well-prepared. The complimentary corn fritters were a wonderful touch, and close enough to hush puppies for us Virginians! Service was friendly and efficient, we were even given more iced tea in a to-go cup for the road.
Try the rock shrimp they're famous for! The Captain's Player is also my favorite bcuz there's plenty of leftovers to take home. Price are reasonable. $100 for 3or4 people depending on your appetite. Well worth it we go every year at least once.
I was born in FL and my family and I have eaten at this restaurant throughout my childhood when we would go watch the shuttle or rocket launches. Since then I've moved to NC and and have a family of my own and we visit once a year. My husband and kids love it. The food is consistently excellent and the staff is always friendly. A must try is the Famous Rock Shrimp (broiled) and Corn Fritters (everything is great though)All the seafood is as fresh as it gets. This is definitely the locals best kept secret.
Grew up in Titusville so I have been here a lot! Hasn't changed much, I still think its fantastic. This past time was simply wonderful. Our waitress was Aubrey and she was so great! Thanks for a wonderful meal and great service!
First time eating here and we were very impressed. Excellent taste on everything we ordered. The gator bites were outstanding. Our server did a great job!! Definitely will be back!! Thank you
Always a winner with food and service. Fried oysters were my pick and they were delicious, along with the sweet potato and cup of clam chowder. Can't go wrong here as they do everything very well.
SAVE your TIME & $$$ — go somewhere else!!!! How does this place have so many positive reviews and is so busy? We are from Chicago and have much better seafood restaurants. This place was TERRIBLE!!! $55 worth of terrible, dry, tasteless food. And the service... just as BAD. I understand this a small town restaurant but wow there was nothing good about it. Food and service are MUCH better at Red Lobster.
